There was a news hype that Elon Musk was considering establishing a social media platform. And undeniably it stirred a serious thought for Twitter.  After being questioned on Twitter about creating a platform where "free expression is a high priority" and "propaganda is extremely constrained," Musk tweeted about this development. Considering that Elon Musk believes that free speech is essential to a "functioning democracy," he has attacked Twitter's algorithm. He asserts that Twitter's algorithm silences views from all backgrounds.

If Elon Musk starting social media is a serious decision in the future, he will be joining a rising number of tech companies that are positioning themselves as protectors of free expression. This could draw those who believe their ideas are valuable.
