With the new covid variant Omicron, many people are worried about its spread. The CDC has updated its guidelines to help prevent the spread of this variant. CDC’s updated guidelines have three different steps to help reduce the risk of transmission. The first step is to test all blood donations for this Covid variant. The second step is when there is a positive result for this Covid, they will quarantine the entire donation until it can be tested again. Lastly, when there are no more units available in quarantine, they will hold all donations at that donation center until they receive a negative result from testing and diffusing it across the country. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a new guideline on the Covid variant Omicron. The entire guideline is available here.

The CDC has issued a new guideline in response to the discovery of a new covid variant, Omicron. The CDC recommends that all individuals in the United States who have been exposed to or are at risk for exposure to covid should be immune-serologically tested for antibodies against omicron. The CDC says this is to protect people from contracting the virus and because it can't be treated, this precautionary measure could save lives. Be sure to take all appropriate precautions by wearing a hazmat suit and following the instructions given here. The covid variant Omicron is a dangerous virus that has been known to cause diarrhoea, vomiting, and stomach pain. It is transmitted through contact with faecal matter and can be spread by touch or through contaminated surfaces.
