There is constant change in the music industry. Music streaming has now become a popular alternative to the digital distribution of music. Spotify is one of the popular audio streaming and media services providers. Some more popular alternatives of Spotify do indeed exist which are far better than Spotify. Most of the free Spotify alternatives entries are following

1)    YOUTUBE MUSIC-

With YouTube Music, YouTube is introducing a new music app like Spotify that could threaten Spotify's dominance. In addition to having all the same music that you can get on Spotify; you can also customize your playlists according to your preferences. YouTube has an advantage because it belongs to the current ruler of Planet Earth, Google. A unique feature is that it lets you listen to every YouTube version of a song, including personal and professional covers. The free version features advertisements, but these are worth looking at. Browser-based versions are even available.

PROS-

·        AI-powered playlists

·        Access to all of YouTube

·        Music library with thousands of songs

CONS-

·        The freemium version contains advertisements

2)    DEEZER

Some apps are similar to Spotify, but are free and not invasive like Spotify. The music player is Deezer. The service offers 53 million tracks, playlists curated by top music editors around the globe, and a personal soundtrack for no cost. It's kind of annoying how it plays shuffle, but the music library, tailored recommendations, and off-line mode make up for it. The user interface is also very intuitive.

PROS -

·        Playlists created by editors are awesome

·        Awesome interface

CONS-

·        Currently, only shuffle play is available

·        Features have been limited in Freemium

3)    MUSICUP

One of the most easy-to-use Spotify alternatives, MusicUp is also a bit simple but extremely intuitive. You listen to different playlists of varying lengths via the service's genre-style radio stations. One of the nicest features of the playlists is that they are organized into different activities like "road trips", "workouts", and "relaxing." You can even create collaborative rooms with other users and vote on which song should be on the playlist.

PROS-

·        Karaoke version (The karaoke version of it makes it a worthy addition to this list anyway)

·        Activity-tailored stations

CONS-

·        A Limited selection of stations

·        Several features are missing

4)    JIOSAAVN

Gaana once claimed to be the number one music service in India, however, Reliance Jio has overtaken it and is now the number one. JioSaavn, the biggest streaming service in India, is the result of the merger of Saavn and Jio Music. There are more than 55 million songs available on JioSaavn in Bollywood movies, in English, in Hindi, and independent artists' music, as well as regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, and more. With no ads, you can stream unlimited music, curated playlists, radio stations, and exclusive podcasts. Additionally, JioSaavn offers a 90-day free trial to existing Jio users, but if you select the PRO subscription, you will remove the ads, get unlimited skips, and stream music at 320 kbps. As far as music collection and features go, it's pretty much as good as Spotify.

PROS-

·        Large music library with more than 55 million tracks

·        Option to stream music at 320kbps

·        A good selection of podcasts

·        Create your own playlist and radio station

CONS-

·        The music recommendations need to be improved
