The Nightingale is a novel set in ***** occupied France. It tells the story of two sisters, Vianne and Isabelle, who live in a small village near the Pyrenees Mountains. This book is about the strength of women and how they can survive in hard times. It also talks about what happens when men are not around to protect them or have their back. Women are often seen as weak because they are seen as caretakers, but this book shows that they can be strong too.
