Who is Mary Parker Follett? Mary Parker Follett is an American sociologist, feminist, and management theorist who is best known for her work on conflict resolution and organizational development. Mary Follett's theory of power dynamics has been applied to organizations, families, communities, and international relations. Follett was born in 1868 in Quincy, Massachusetts. She graduated from Radcliffe College with a degree in philosophy in 1893.

Mary Parker Follett is a pioneer in the field of organizational behavior. She was a social reformer and an influential theorist who wrote about the importance of power, conflict, and cooperation. Mary Parker Follett was born on September 3, 1868, in Amherst, Massachusetts to Charles Augustus Follett and Mary (Parker) Follett. She was raised by her mother after her father died when she was just two years old. She attended Mount Holyoke College from 1886-to 1890 where she studied under Professor Elizabeth Cary Agassiz and became interested in sociology. In 1901 she published her first book titled "Concerning Children", which is a study on children's development and their needs.
