The earliest pioneers of facial recognition were ***** Bledsoe, Helen Chan Wolf and Charles Bisson. In 1964 and 1965, Bledsoe, along with Wolf and Bisson began work using computers to recognise the human face. According to some, the father of facial recognition was Woodrow Wilson Bledsoe. In the 1960s, he developed a system that could classify photos of faces by hand using what's known as a RAND tablet.
