The United States wants to discover new sources of clean electricity. The process of collecting solar power energy from the sunlight and sending it wirelessly to the Earth has been gaining importance.  Solar energy can solve our energy and greenhouse gas emissions. The energy of the sun in space can supply large amounts of electricity to all bodies on Earth with little or no impact on the environment. The solar energy available in space is literally billions of times what we use today. The life of the sun is estimated to be 4-5 billion years, and solar power in space is a truly long-term solution. With the Earth receiving some of the 2.3 billion pieces of solar energy most effectively, space solar energy is the most powerful power source available today which will surely dwarf everything else. Today, solar power is routinely used on almost every spacecraft.

Several benefits of surface solar energy have been identified – unlike oil, gas, ethanol, and coal plants, space solar power does not emit greenhouse gases.

Solar power do not depend on scarce freshwater resources which most coal and nuclear power plants do.

• And one of the greater advantage is that unlike bio-ethanol or bio-diesel, space solar power will not compete for valuable farmland or rely on natural fuel fertilizers.

Also, space solar power is available 24 x 7, in enormous quantities. It works regardless of daylight, cloud cover, or wind speed.
