The main disadvantage is that it becomes slow when too many users are active. They are generally hard to scale. They consume a high amount of energy. The data is immutable, i.e., you cannot undo a task. Blockchains are inefficient at certain tasks. Moreover, Blockchain implementation is high in cost. It still needs time to mature completely. Blockchain does not offer interoperability as of now. Last but not the least, it is hard to integrate Blockchain into a legacy system.
