There is a lot of misinformation out there about cardio and heart health. Some people think that cardio is the only way to keep your heart healthy, but that's not necessarily true. There are other factors that contribute to heart health, and cardio is just one piece of the puzzle.  It’s natural to wonder - is cardio good for the heart? According to the Mayo Clinic, some of the good heart exercises for a strong, healthy heart include aerobic activities. But to keep your heart healthy, you can engage in cardio exercises like walking, running, swimming, and biking. Strength training is also important for heart health, as it can help reduce the risk of heart disease. Cardio exercise strengthens the heart as it improves circulation.

The best exercises for heart health can vary based on your age and fitness level. If you're just starting out with exercising, it's best to start with something low intensity like walking or stretching before you move on to more intense exercises like running or biking uphill. Eventually you can include walking uphill on a treadmill; using an elliptical machine; doing high-intensity interval training; or riding a bike up a hill.
