The popular video app TikTok is launching delivery-only restaurants in the U.S. in March, with plans to open at least two locations a week for the next six months. The first restaurant is set to open in San Francisco on March 15, and it will only serve TikTok’s signature fried chicken. The company is also testing a new “pop-up” format and is exploring the possibility of opening convenience stores that would sell only TikTok products. TikTok is one of the most popular video apps on the planet — and it’s about to get even bigger. Today, TikTok is launching delivery-only restaurants in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The goal is to give users the ability to try the app without ever having to download it. The first two cities to get delivery-only spots will open in March.

Japanese messaging app is launching delivery-only TikTok restaurants across the U.S. in March, in a move that could pit the company against Postmates and Uber Eats. The new restaurants, which are the first of their kind for TikTok, will offer customers the option to order food based on the most recent videos or dance performances shared by the app. The new offering will be available in cities including New YorkLos Angeles, and Atlanta, and will expand to more cities in the future. TikTok is one of the world’s most popular video apps, with more than 300 million users per month. The company, which is owned by ByteDance, will open the first such restaurant locations in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York later this month. The concept, which will offer customizable meals for a fixed price, will initially be available for delivery only within each location. The 1,000 square-foot restaurants will be cash-only, and customers will have to order online, which will include a 20-minute delivery window.
