Technology and generation go hand in hand, with the course of time the gaming world has changed enormously and is still developing. Now e-games are not confined in a nutshell, the evolution of technology has drifted the gaming technology from PC version to mobile version. During this transformation, the world has witnessed a huge number of users investing their time in games.
The introduction of PUBG i.e., Players under battleground, has created a separate fanbase in the gaming world. PUBG has enhanced the liberty of gaming amongst gamers and users. In the year 2018, the game has been awarded as “the best game of the year”. Due to some internal tension of states, the game has been affected and it suffered a ban. The effect of the ban has displayed a massive shift to another game, generally an alternative.
Statistics and reports show the only game which benefited the most was “call of duty”. Other than the call of duty, other games like Minecraft, Fortnite, free fire are also trending but the call of duty has managed to create the maximum impact after the ban of PUBG. Call of duty provides the same level of entertainment compared to PUBG. The weapons used in both the games are the same the difference lies in gameplay and graphics. In COD i.e., call of duty allows the users to have smooth gameplay whereas in PUBG gamers might feel a lag, depending upon the specifications of the device. On the other hand, graphics in PUBG is much more realistic and detailed but it lags behind when compared to COD.
All though, there has been a serious rivalry between these two gaming giants but the ban upon PUBG has helped COD as mentioned before. In the meanwhile, PUBG has managed to launch another version for India, which is known as BGMI i.e., Battleground Mobile India. The issue of the ban has been lifted and has recorded 10+ million downloads.
The introduction of BGMI has not only filled joy amongst the users but also restarted the saga of generating income in the gaming world. As Krafton managed to meet the requirement and clauses of the Indian govt. and BGMI was launched which is also known as the Indian version of PUBG. Coming to an end it is pretty tough to compare and report an unbiased opinion. Hence, we can say that the choice of alternative completely depends upon the user and gamers.
