Apple has been working on an electric car for years, but so far none of their prototypes have looked anything like a traditional car. Some have been small and electric, while others have been big and gas-guzzling. But the first Apple electric car may look very different from current electric cars. Apple may go down the route of creating a brand new vehicle type rather than improving on existing models. The first Apple car concept is rumored to look like a minivan. But that doesn't mean it will only be for families. The Apple Car could be an affordable mode of transportation for everyone, not just the rich. The design of the Apple Car could be an exciting glimpse into the future of transportation, but it's important to not get ahead of ourselves.

The first self-driving Apple car is reportedly going to look a lot like an electric Tesla Model S. That’s because Apple has teamed up with Tesla to develop the car’s technology and batteries, The Information reports. The first self-driving car from Apple is expected to look somewhat like a spaceship. It will have a large touchscreen in the center of the vehicle’s dashboard, where the driver currently sits. The driver’s seat will swivel and become a bed. And the rear of the car will open up like a pod hotel, so passengers can sleep or lounge around. Apple CarPilot, the company's first automotive project, will be a self-driving car. The Apple car price will not be more than $40,000. But unlike most other self-driving cars on the market, Apple will look more like a pod than a car. This is because Apple CarPilot is more about transportation than it is about cars.
