Spotify and Discord were back online after outages that were linked to Google Cloud. The two companies are now investigating the cause of the outage and are working with Google to fix any issues. Spotify, which is one of the largest music streaming service providers, has more than 140 million active users in over 180 countries. Discord, a voice and text chat app for gamers, has more than 150 million registered users. After both companies went offline at around noon ET on Tuesday (April 16th), it was reported that Spotify was back up and running by 1:15 pm ET while Discord was back up by 2:29 pm ET.

Spotify and Discord were back online after outages on Friday, with Spotify blaming the outage on Google Cloud. Spotify's website was down for almost 24 hours before coming back online. The company said in a statement that the outage was due to "a configuration change" that caused an interruption to its Google Cloud-based storage service. Discord also went down on Friday, but it came back up within an hour. Google Cloud has been in the news for the last few days after a series of outages that have impacted some of its most popular customers, including Spotify and Discord. On Thursday, October 18th, Google experienced an outage that lasted for about an hour and a half. The outage was caused by a network issue for Google Cloud in the Northeastern region of the United States. This outage affected some of the most popular services that use Google Cloud as their hosting provider, including Spotify and Discord.
