California-based Zelectric focuses on electric-powered conversions of traditional cars. Lately proven in Jay Leno's garage, its today's advent is a 1968 Porsche 912, however, as opposed to a Taycan motor, this vintage sports car is predicated on Tesla model S energy.

Like the inventory 912 (which used the identical body shell because of the greater prolific 911, however with a four-cylinder engine), the power unit sits inside the back and drives the rear wheels. The rear-installed motor fits in approximately the equal place it would in a Tesla, and the handiest ads 300 pounds over the inventory curb weight. It additionally takes up much less room, so the Porsche now has a proper rear trunk.

The Tesla motor makes 536 horsepower, massively greater than the roughly 90 hp of the inventory flat-four fuel engine. It’s going to get the electrical 912 as much as approximately 135 mph, consistent with Zelectric, which noted that a few suspension and brake upgrades have been executed as a part of the conversion.

An antique Porsche 912 was converted into a high-powered electric version with Tesla version S transplant. The wonderful conversion was presented in the Jay Leno show by the CEO of Zelectric David Bernado and Director R&D, Trent Wonsley. Interestingly, the conversion process doesn’t reduce or weld the vehicle and it can be transformed again to its original state.

The original Porsche 912 body shell, which formerly housed a 4-cylinder engine, is used by the current modified vehicle. The rear wheels of the electric type are driven by a power unit at the back of the vehicle. In a similar location as in a Tesla Model, the electric motor is installed. Without passengers, the motor adds upto 300 pounds of weight and takes up less room.

With its 34 kWh of batteries distributed over two locations, the reconverted vehicle weighs roughly 2505 pounds, which is less than half that of a Tesla S model. The Tesla motor produces 536 HP, which is more than the typical 90 PS of a gasoline engine.
